Cuban Rock Band

Bouquet

Bouquet is a Cuban rock band founded in 2003 in Cienfuegos by Aivis Prieto, singer and composer, and Pavel Cama, guitar player and vocals. The band has been a pioneer in a unique style of Cuban rock, being faithful to its sound and showing an excellent performance on rock stages all over the island. Currently belongs to the catalog of excellence of music in Cuba

Before founding Bouquet, Aivis Prieto and Pavel Cama had formed other bands, “Ades” (trova with a rock influence) and then the group “Cuba” with a more rock focus, a project that was never presented live. Then they join a project called “Los…” where they had their first live performance as a band where Aivis Prieto performed as a drummer, not as a singer. Meanwhile Bouquet was being conceved in the medical school, while Pavel Cama studied and Aivis Prieto abandoned his career after deciding that he would dedicate himself to music professionally.
Bouquet performed as an amateur group at a university festival, playing covers, and wins the provincial festival. Though the years, the members of the band changed, but Aivis and Pavel always stay together although Aivis Prieto recorded the album called "Insomnia" with the band Anima Mundi in 2017 and has toured with that band twice through Europe that has never gotten in the way of his original band, Bouquet.
Bouquet turned professional in 2007, becoming the first professional rock band in its province.
In 2008 Bouquet toured the province's secondary and higher education centers.
In 2009, the band organized a new event that decided to call "The Last Beach" which consisted of an ecological concert in Cayo Carenas, the only inhabited island in Cienfuegos, with a population of only about 10 families. The event was called "The Last Beach" in honor of the well-known novel by the playwrighter and poet Atilio Caballero, who wrote the play during his stay in Cayo Carenas.

Name and logo
Bouquet is the particular aroma that the wine develops after aging and reveals information about the characteristics of the drink. Aivis Prieto declares that she chose it because he always found it attractive, since it is both elegant and festive.
The logo is the silhouette of a nose and a mouth, representing smell and taste, related to wine tasting. The idea was a suggestion from a visual artist and friend of the band, Carlos Varens. From there Pavel Cama and Aivis Prieto designed the logo which consists of an extract from the profile of Dorian Gray's portrait.
