Influenced by the then emerging jazz/funk/fusion genre during his studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston in the early 1970s, T. Hughes remains true to his roots even today – despite various interim excursions into diverse styles ranging from punk rock to classical music. Formerly working primarily as an electric and double bassist, he now concentrates on composing, arranging and recording his own pieces.
