"As The Plot Thickens" was started in 2016. There were no plans to release music at the time. Mike Reeves created the project only as an outlet. In 2017 after changing careers he decided to focus on is new job. He put ATPT on the back burner until 2019 when he recorded "Believe." He also wrote a few other songs, previously unreleased. After completing "Believe" and "In Good Hands" he decided to distribute his recordings through Distrokid. Since February 2020, Mike has recorded several songs and released them through Distokid. Currently he is working on a concept album titled "The Lost One" with new music being released from the album starting in April 2021.
