RUHUM (born and raised in Germany) is a music producer from Istanbul/ Turkey.

His musical journey began in 1993 with a borrowed Yamaha keyboard, a Sanyo music blaster and cheap Walkman headphones used as a microphone. Never learned to play an instrument, but the urge to make songs and rap like Dr. Dre and Ice Cube inspired him to record his own music.

An innovative recording technique and self written rap lyrics, led to the first songs that convinced a friend to buy an Atari computer and a synthesizer, to make music together. They even had a female singer for the hooks. A “music producer” and a group was born. He wrote lyrics, produced and performed rap songs in local clubs and events. A few gigs, inner conflicts and years later, he decided to quit making Hip Hop and to start his spiritual journey. He also stopped making music for many years, because a few pc´s broke and he lost hundreds of songs.

So he gave up producing since he couldn’t afford new equipment that was very expensive at the time.

Many years later he started producing again just for fun and for some local rappers, without a career in mind. He moved to Istanbul/ Turkey in 2011 and since 2017 RUHUM loves to produce Downtempo, Chillout, Deep House, Hip Hop mainly. For his first Album “Leaving Earth With…” (as ChuckRuh Sonic) he didn’t listen to any music for about two years so as not to be influenced by other artists. Not very typical for a music producer, but… it was an Experiment.

He is now working on his first Deep House and his second Downtempo/ Chillout Album which will be published on all major platforms.

He also produces Hip Hop Beats which will be licensed and sold on his website.

RUHUM-MUZIK is a One-Man-Show. He produces, mixes and masters all of his songs himself, he makes the album covers, his video clips and takes care of his website and social media accounts.
