Diamondcat is an electronic music artist and DJ. Most of his music has a cyberpunk aesthetic and mixes various genres like synthwave, hyperpop, rock, and experimental noise. In 2017 he released the industrial album “Surf the Void” on Sole Glo Collective. For a brief period in 2018, he was a keyboardist in the Austin dance punk band, Earthshaker. In 2019 he released two synthwave singles, “Ataraxia” and “Jaguar” on Miami Sound Records, and self-released an EP of experimental music called “Terrain.” In 2021 he released his latest EP on Seikomart in a genre he calls hypersynth, a chaotic mixture of synthwave, vaporwave, and other genres. He is currently working on the soundtrack for the up-and-coming survival horror game, Paranoia. He has been featured on The Prime Thanatos’ mixes, Forever Synth, and Nightride Fm.
“With most of my music, my main goal,” says Diamondcat, “is to make music that is fun but thoughtful at the same time. You could put it on at a party, but you could also listen to it in depth on headphones. It isn’t the same loop every time. There are a lot of melodies, riffs, and weird samples swirling around and evolving.”
