LaJaye’s R&B old Skool roots adds edge and spice to a sophisticated performance; the truth about his life experience forges an original sound that echoes the legendary singers that shaped his style. LaJaye’ showed up on the Music scene in the 80s singing alongside legendary singers and musicians that begin to shape his music style. Releasing his first Single “Put My Thang Down” echoes that New Jack Swing sound of that time. He has had his records played across the country on many radio stations, including iHeartRadio, LaJaye has performed on many famous stages which includes, the World’s Famous Apollo Stage in NY. Adding to his credit, LaJaye’ has also acted, landing the lead roll as Clarence Jones in the country’s #1 Gospel Stage Play “A Good Man Is Hard To Find” also having starred in several other stage plays with some of the industry’s great such as Glen Jones, Tony Terry, the Legendary Lenny Williams Tamika Scott of Xcape and Bernadette of Good Times and many others. LaJaye has also been a nominated artist as Gospel male vocalist of the year for the Zetta Awards. LaJaye’ has released several singles on various labels which includes WEA/Warner Bro’s., Del Geo Records, Empire Records, and his own Label My Q Music Group. Recently released an EP with 5 songs with United Alliance Music Group/ Sony Orchard. LaJaye’ Britt has shifted the paradigm of Gospel music over the course of his career. Born in Washington, DC. Raised in Trenton, NJ. And a native of the Carolina’s, the singer-Songwriter has had his share of struggles founding himself in a near-fatal car accident. Being a Heart Attack Survivor He learned life can be painful, but it can also guide us to new places. Having several Surgeries he has suffered lost and pain During his rehabilitation, It was his faith in God and love for music that encouraged him to begin singing again. His voice oozes passion due to his Deep Church roots, yet it cuts through the air with soul and rawness. Growing up with James Brown Isley Brothers recode playing, he developed a style rooted with nostalgia while adopting the modern flair. There is so many other layers to this Artist you have to love him knowing his full story.
