In the 1980s The Bone Tree danced in a cloud of dry ice to music from the likes of The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Joy Division, The Cure, PiL and Killing Joke.

The band was born during the pandemic of 2020. It was conceived to escape the boredom lockdown with music inspired by the post-punk bands of the 1980s and channel the very palpable fear of the year into something constructive.
