Born and raised in Chicago, Shena! learned to read music and play the piano as a teenager. She has also studied under the tutelage of Elsa Harris, a leading instructor and performer who toured with legendary gospel artist Jessy Dixon. A gifted songwriter, she realized that music was her calling when she received acclaim for her songs in Europe.

Shena's goal is to write songs that will encourage the heart but makes you wanna dance. The new singles Immerse me Speaks to how it doesn't take perfection to be loved. I have found myself feeling like I need to make a thousand changes before opening myself up to love. I have family/friends who express the same feelings. I often hear: I need to work on myself before meeting someone. Sadly, time isn't waiting for us to be perfect but love isn't expecting it!
